Join us at the Annual Wild & Scenic Red RiverFest on May 16 - May 17 2025
Join co-hosts Friends of Red River and Kentucky Waterways Alliance for the Wild and Scenic Red Riverfest annually on the 3rd Saturday of May to celebrate the Red River, the only waterway in Kentucky that has this invaluable designation from the National Wild & Scenic River System which keeps it free-flowing and protected. The annual is a fundraiser for Friends of Red River for cleanups, environmental education, & improved river access. Our 2025 event is Friday 5/16 - Saturday 5/17, and includes the 8 mile Red River Fun Floats, free live music all day, kids & adult activities, rock climbing wall, yoga, fun & education clean water workshops (including Watershed Watch Stream Sampling Certification training!), silent auction, prizes, craft, food & drink vendors and more! Red Riverfest is a wonderful chance to discover a small part of the Red River and all it has to offer! We’re proud and thankful for the wonderful partners which make this event possible; Kentucky Waterways Alliance, Friends of Red River, Powell County Search & Rescue (SAR) and Fire Department, Wolfe County Search & Rescue, RedSTAR, and other local partners.
